Description

The best way to start discovering Venice with less walking.

Venice with less walking private guided tour starts from the Venice cruise terminal. Your qualified local guide will meet you by your cruise ship check point and your tour will start sailing on a private water taxi along the Giudecca Canal. You will enjoy a delightful panoramic view of Saint Mark’s Square.  You will see also all the other important historical monuments surrounding the Basin of Saint Mark. The boat will slowly approach the Lido island, a long sandy islands between the Lagoon and the open sea. The Lido is a residential district of Venice and the seaside resort of the Venetians. Here, the International Venice Film Festival  takes place since 1932, every year in late August or early September. This is the oldest film festival in the world.

Venice with less walking tour will continue to discover the less well-known natural beauty of the Lagoon. Passing by some peaceful islands, away from the throng of tourists, where the only sound you’ll hear will be the chirping and twittering of hundreds of birds (beside the noise of your boat!)

The boat will then approach Murano island, famous in the world for its glass workshops. You’ll ride through some of the small canals of the island (on request we can stop by a glass factory) and see old palaces and churches. The boat will finally turn towards the characteristic district of Castello, sailing by the Old Shipyard, before ending by St. Mark’s Square, where you could start exploring the City of Venice.

On request we can organize an optional transfer back to the cruise port
