Designed for visitors who want to keep in good shape even when travelling,
this tour offers a good opportunity to burn those extra calories that
local cuisine contributes to accumulate.
The bike tour starts from the Lido island (bike rental will be arranged). Direction South, we'll start riding along the Adriatic Sea and then along the Lagoon.
Our first stop will be at Malamocco, a small village on the Lido which
in the earliest days was the very first political centre of Venice, before
Venetian decided to erect their government building in St. Mark's.
Continuing towards the southern end of the Lido, we'll get on the Ferry-boat
to cross the port of mouth and reach the island of Pellestrina.
We'll ride along the beach and, season
and weather permitting, there will be a stop on the beach and even the possibility to swim in the Adriatic Sea.
We can take along some food for lunch, yet if you want to make this tour very special, we can plan
to have lunch at the very exclusive restaurant “da Celeste”, on its uncomparable terrace overlooking the lagoon.
After lunch there'll be time to explore more or to relax, before starting our ride back to the Lido.
