THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OF VENICE MARCO POLO
The new airport terminal was built few years ago next to the
old terminal, but about half a mile away from the small
harbor where water taxis dock. Until January 2006 it was
possible to reach the dock with a free shuttle bus.
Unfortunately the Venetian Airport Marco Polo has decided to
discontinue the free shuttle bus service.
A permanent porterage
service by the arrival terminal is not available. Occasionally you can find porters,
but the service is not regular.
It might be uncomfortable or confusing for passengers to walk
to the docking area by their own. It takes about 5/7 minutes to reach the dock.
In order to meet different requirements that
different passengers might have, we offer three different kind of transfer from the
airport to Venice.
DELUXE TRANSFER: Meet & Greet, private van from the arrival building to the dock, and private water taxi
This is the most comfortable way to transfer from the airport to Venice,
especially if your wish is that of arriving to Venice by boat.
As you'll walk out from luggage
claiming and custom area you will find your assistant waiting for you with a
sign with your name. You will be taken with your luggage to the dock by van,
where you will board your private water taxi.
If needed, you will find trolleys near the baggage reclaim points. In order to
use trolleys you must
insert a one-euro or a 50 cents coin,
which enables you to release one from the bay. Coin machines and currency exchange machines are available in the arrival lounge. You can use a trolley to take your luggage from the baggage reclaim point to the parking where you will board your van. The driver will load your luggage on the van. Once at the dock, you will get off the van and board a private water taxi. The driver will unload the luggage from the van, but will not take your luggage to the boat. You can again use a trolley to take your luggage from where the van will stop by the dock to the boat landing stage (20 yards/60 feet).
PORTER SERVICE: If you need a porter to help you with luggage please include in your booking our porter service option: we will book for your a porter, who will collect your luggage as you exhit the custom area, when you will meet your assistant, and will take your luggage separately to the dock to load them onto the water taxi. This service is to be paid direclty to the porter.
If needed, the interpreter will
be pleased to help you to check in at the hotel.
Please notice: several hotels in Venice do not have a door over a canal accessible to water taxi, and other hotels are not located right by a canal. If this is your case, your driver will drop you off at the closest possible landing stage. Taxi drivers will unload the luggage from the boat, but will not help you with luggage to the hotel, as they are not allowed to leave their boat unguarded. The assistant will walk you to the hotel but will not take luggage. Porter service in some parts of the town is available but expensive. Should you need a porter in town, please enqury about city porter service: we'll be pleased to help you find a porter. This service is to be paid direclty to the porter.
REGULAR WATER TAXI TRANSFER: Meet & Greet and private water taxi
Your assistant will meet you right outside the custom area holding a sign with your name. This transfer does not include any porter service. You will find trolleys near the baggage reclaim points. In order to
use them you must
insert a one-euro or a 50 cents coin,
which enables you to release the trolley from the bay. Coin machines and currency exchange machines are available in the arrival area.
You can keep your baggage trolley up to the water taxi dock, where you should clip it
back in one of the bays, and your coin will be returned.
Your assistant will walk with you to the airport dock, where you will board your private water taxi and reach your hotel.

CLASS A TRANSFER: Limousine/Van and water taxi
This tranfer combines the service of a limousine car with driver and that of a private water taxi. The car driver will meet and greet you at the airport upon arrival.
He will wait for you right outside the custom area (passed the sliding doors) and will take care of loading
your luggage on the limousine.
He will then drive you to Piazzale Roma, the car terminal in Venice, where
you will find your water taxi
waiting for you. You will board the taxi and be taken to your hotel. This transfer is suggested to people who want to avoid any walking.
If your hotel does not have a private jetty or an accessible door over a canal, you would have to walk on your own from the boat landing stage to your hotel, as boat driver cannot leave their boat unguarded. If you want to be escorted to the hotel and need porter service, please consider our Regular or Deluxe transfers.
GROUND TRANSFER: Private limousine/van with driver
This transfer is available for:
1)reaching the cruise port (Stazione Marittima) direclty from the airport
2)reaching all hotels on Venice Mainland or other cities in the Veneto area
3)reaching hotels located near Piazzale Roma (Venice car terminal) as hotel Olimpia, Arlecchino or Sofitel (porter service available from Piazzale Roma to the hotels, please enquire)

If you experience serious delays due to a missed/cancelled
flight you are requested to advise us at least
2 hours prior to the expected arrival time of the flight you
were supposed to take to get to Venice (the arrival time shown on your voucher).
If we don't hear from you in time to cancel your transfer, you will be charged
the full amount of the transfer as no show fee.
If your flight to Venice is delayed, but you are on that
flight, you don't need to advise us as we have
always updated information on arrival times. There will be no
extra charge for the delay.
Upon confirmation of your booking we will issue and send you a
voucher with all our
contact numbers and detailed information you will need for the transfer.
In case your loose one or more luggage (not unusual if your journey includes more
than one flight) you must call and advise us of your delay in
reaching the arrival lounge.
If we don't receive your call, we will wait 1 hour after
the effective landing time. If you don't advise us, after 1 hour waiting, we will assume you were not on the flight and you will be charged
the full amount of the transfer as no show fee.
PAYMENT
Pre- pay the entire amount by Credit Card (Visa or
Master Card only) or Paypal. To pay with credit card you need to send us via fax or scanned our downloadable form of acceptance.

The rates apply only to individuals or small groups of up to 8 people. For larger group rates will be provided upon request and are not

CANCELLATION POLICY
More than 4 days: no cancellation fees apply
From 4 days to 3 days prior to the service date: 30% of the total cost
From 72 to 24 hours prior to the service date and time: 50% of the total cost
Last 24 hours prior to the service date and time or no show: 100% of the total cost
