The tour features all of the most important sights of Venice, those you should not miss at all.
We will begin with an overview of the most important monuments in the Heart of Venice:
the Bridge of Sighs, the Doges Palace, the Bell Tower and the Clock Tower.
We will then enter the Church of Saint Mark and admire the glow
of its outstanding Byzantine mosaics (covering a surface of
approximately 86,000 square feet). In the Church we will see the breathtaking Golden Screen
encrusted with almost 2000 precious stones.
Our tour will then take you through the
narrow alleys of Venice to discover some of the hidden treasuries of the City, like the Contarini Spiral Staircase (nicknamed by Venetians "the Bovolo" = snail). We'll reach then the Rialto Bridge, to enjoy a magnificent view over the Grand Canal. You will admire some of the exquisite princely residences of the old patrician families
reflecting on the water surface, and the "most unique city in the world" will show all of its majestic beauty.
We will then continue walking through the backstreets "far from the madding crowd", and discover some of the peaceful corners of the city. We'll see where Marco Polo's house
used to be, and reach Campo San Giovanni and Paolo, one of the most interesting monumental area of the city, to admire the beautiful architectures in the area and the
well-know equestrian monument of Bartolomeo Colleoni.
It'll be now time to board a luxury boat and take a ride through
the Venetian lagoon to discover its natural features, and we will eventually reach the Island of Murano to see how the outstanding world famous glass is produced.
You will see the celebrated glass masters shaping with incredible ability authentic works of art. There will be some time for shopping, and then we'll return back to Venice.
