This tour can be planned in many different
ways, in order to discover at your own choice one of the six Venetian
districts: Castello, San Marco, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, San Polo or Santa Croce.
We will explore the City with particular attention to the most unusual
details, and the most appealing curiosities. How was the City built on water?
What are exaclty the wells? Why Venice does not have, like all other cities,
a center and a suburb area? You will be suggested many different perspectives
to appreciate Venice, focusing on the way locals lived in the past and how,
instead, life is today. Why is Venice so different from any other city in the
world and how the city environment conditioned all the aspects of its evolution.
It will make you feel how important the water element was and is, and how
much this determined to create a Venetian Style of life.
